Here’s just a small selection of the countless projects that we’ve contributed our quality crane and rigging services to over the years across Melbourne and Victoria.
750 Collins Street, Melbourne – Multiplex
Kilmore Crane Hire performed a refurbishment on a ten-storey office building with Multiplex to make way for the new Monash College campus location. This was an intensive and challenging job, with significant work required to make the building fit for its new occupants and purpose.
Strengthening steel was installed for escalators on all levels. New façade steel and new architecturally designed staircases were also installed. We performed tight access rigging work throughout the building, from delivering steel to the worksite to transferring equipment and steel across all levels of the building.
Installation was completed using 3-tonne Maeda crawler cranes, 4-tonne skates, trolleys, forklifts, and multiple chain blocks. All companies involved performed excellent work and achieved a great result for the project.

1000 Latrobe Street, Melbourne – Pro-Build
Managed by Pro-Build, this project is a new 23-level office tower in the heart of The Docklands in Melbourne. Kilmore Crane Hire successfully completed structural steel installation on Levels 20 to 23 of this internationally designed building.
With the assistance of the tower cranes on-site, we lifted steel, access equipment, and our 3T Maeda Crawler Crane onto roof levels. This allowed the Kilmore Crane Hire crew to go ahead and perform their quality structural steel installation work. Not a bad view from up the top of the tower either!
Pharmaceutical projects
Kilmore Crane Hire has been fortunate enough to be involved in the upgrade of 2 major pharmaceutical facilities from installing structural steel to multi-million-dollar equipment. Using our mobile cranes and expert team, we delivered safe, fast, and cost-effective lifting solutions.
Chadstone Shopping Centre – Hickory
Kilmore Crane Hire was involved in the installation of 2500 tonnes of steel to an existing car park at Chadstone Shopping Centre. This project involved installing two new access ramps for vehicles, two extra levels of undercover parking, and new internal elevators. This has been one of our largest projects so far.
